GOLF ETIQUETTE AND RULES

COURSE ETIQUETTE

Most golfers play the game hoping to relax, and to enjoy some quality time with friends.   In order for our experience on the golf course to live up to these expectations, we all need to behave in a way that is respectful to those we are playing with, and those playing around us.

>GolfExpert.com< has a nice section on golf etiquette; it's a good refresher for all of us.

  • Play each hole in 14 minutes or less
  • Replace ALL divots
  • Repair ALL your ball marks on green (fix one more for extra credit)
  • Rake Bunkers
  • Play by and observe all applicable rules (i.e. Kahler Glen & USGA rules apply)

COURSE RULES

  • Monitor your speed of play, and complete nine holes in two hours and ten minutes (or less).
  • If you are slowing play for others, start each hole from the 150 yard marker, instead of the tee box until you catch up to the party ahead of you.
  • Four players is the preferred group size.  Five may be permitted if they can play nine holes in two hours ten minutes. At busy times, singles and two-some's may be paired with other parties.

    APPROPRIATE GOLF ATTIRE:
Shirt with a collar or mock turtle neck, slacks, demin, and bermuda shorts for men.
Sleeveless blouse with a collar, round or v-neck with sleeves, slacks, bermuda shorts and modest lenght skirts for women
Golf shoes with softspikes or tennis shoes for foot wear.
